What You'll Be Doing

***Please note: The incumbent will be working out of both the Orono and Omemee locations***

 

 

As a Regional Sales Manager, you’ll lead a high-performing sales team focused on driving growth, profitability, and exceptional customer experiences. You’ll set the tone for performance, collaboration, and culture — guiding your team to meet and exceed sales targets while aligning with Premier’s mission and values. This is a role for someone who thrives on developing people, building strong customer relationships, and turning strategy into action. If you’re a leader who can inspire, coach, and execute — we want to hear from you. You’ll oversee all aspects of the regional sales operations — from strategy to execution. You’ll set goals, lead your team, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure your region meets revenue, margin, and market share objectives. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional leaders to deliver consistency, innovation, and excellence across the business.

Responsibiliites

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies that align with company financial and operational goals.

  • Maintain effective sales processes that ensure an outstanding experience for both internal and external customers.

  • Support the creation and execution of annual budgets, marketing plans, and pricing strategies to achieve sales and margin targets.

  • Lead by example — coach sales professionals on prospecting, value-based selling, and customer retention.

  • Develop individual performance and growth plans to help team members reach and exceed their goals.

  • Establish and manage a robust customer relationship process, including call scheduling, target marketing, and follow-ups after each sale.

  • Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent; create a culture of accountability, teamwork, and success.

  • Collaborate with other Regional and Store Managers to ensure alignment and consistency across product lines (Ag, Turf, CCE).

  • Provide regular performance updates, conduct bi-weekly team meetings, and share best practices across the sales organization.

  • Champion Premier’s values and foster a strong, positive team culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sales management or sales operations leadership.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and motivate a sales team to achieve measurable results.

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, goal setting, and performance management.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using CRM and reporting tools.

  • Basic understanding of financial principles and the ability to analyze performance data.

Preferred

  • Experience in agriculture, turf, or construction equipment industries.

  • Familiarity with John Deere or competitive AG and Turf products.

  • Knowledge of regional market trends and customer needs within the equipment industry.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel regularly within the assigned region.

  • May require occasional lifting of marketing materials or light equipment (up to 25 lbs).

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and communicate effectively for extended periods during meetings and customer visits.

Compensation

 

Placement within the wage range is based on skills, experience and qualifications.

Applicants with more or less experience and qualifications may be placed outside the salary range.

Sales positions will have a commission component as well.
